The Friends of the Flint River Trail will host a “Ride of Silence”.  Joining hundreds of other cycling groups across the nation, this annual tradition honors those cyclists killed or hurt in vehicle accidents in the past year.

The event also seeks to bring awareness of cycling to motorists, and to encourage them to “share the road”.

Join the FFRT riders at the Flint Farmers Market on Wednesday, May 15th at 6:45 pm.  The ride will begin – in silence – promptly at 6:55 pm.  The ride is in the city of Flint, and will include South Saginaw Street through downtown.  The ride is less than 10 miles in length, and winding through the campuses of Mott Community College and the University of Michigan – Flint and other neighborhoods
