Home Remedies For Colds

Never fails that I am always the first one sick during the cold and flu season and the last one as well.  Anyone know any good home remedies for a poor radio guy like me???

I've been searching the internet for home remedies but they all seem to be the same...blow your nose, take a hot shower, drink plenty of liquids, etc...  All of these are working okay - {via webmd.com}. HOWEVER, I know there are more family remedies that work!  I was always told growing up the witch hazel cures all!  Help me out...what remedies do you have?
