The Monterey Pop Festival’s 50th Anniversary [VIDEO]

The 'Summer of Love' kicked into gear big time today in 1967 with day one of 'The Monterey Pop Festival' in Monterey, California. Three days of pop and rock combining forces into a historic music and cultural event.
On stage The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Janis Joplin/ Big Brother And The Holding Company,The Who, Otis Redding, Grateful Dead, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Canned Heat, Jefferson Airplane, Laura Nyro, Booker T. & The M.G.'s, Simon & Garfunkel, the Mamas & The Papas, Lou Rawls, Country Joe & The Fish, the Byrds, the Association, Johnny Rivers, Moby Grape and the Steve Miller Band.
